This pin has a smiley face. So, what do the words following really mean? Is it that the smiley face is a mirror of how I should look every day? Or is it that I&#8217;m exceptional every day? Or is it that this everyday is exceptional? Or is the everyday smile exceptional? Or is every day made exceptional by smiling? Or are everyday smiles exceptional, so I should smile every day?<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: inherit;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: inherit;\">OK. Don&#8217;t ask. This is how my mind works. And I feel like Gandalf in <i>The Hobbit<\/i>, where he ponders the meaning of &#8220;Good Morning&#8221; to Bilbo <\/span><span style=\"font-family: inherit;\">(<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px;\">&#8220;What do you mean?&#8221; he said. &#8220;Do you wish me a&nbsp;<\/span><b style=\"color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px;\">good morning<\/b><span style=\"background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px;\">, or mean that it is a&nbsp;<\/span><b style=\"color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px;\">good morning<\/b><span style=\"background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px;\">&nbsp;whether I want it or not; or that you feel&nbsp;<\/span><b style=\"color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px;\">good<\/b><span style=\"background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px;\">&nbsp;this&nbsp;<\/span><b style=\"color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px;\">morning<\/b><span style=\"background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px;\">; or that it is a&nbsp;<\/span><b style=\"color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px;\">morning<\/b><span style=\"background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px;\">&nbsp;to be&nbsp;<\/span><b style=\"color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px;\">good<\/b><span style=\"background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px;\">&nbsp;on?&#8221;).<\/span><br \/><span style=\"background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: inherit; font-size: 16px;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\"><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: inherit;\">Anyway, if I&#8217;m a true stickler for the correct use of the English language, and all its wonderful vagaries, the pin is&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">grammatically<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: inherit;\">&nbsp;wrong. It should be exceptional<\/span><\/span><br \/><span style=\"background-color: white;\"><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: inherit;\"><b>every day <\/b>(separated)<b>. <\/b>Why? It&#8217;s used as an adverb. The word everyday (together) is an adjective. So we have an adjective defining another adjective, which needs a noun to complete it.<\/span><\/span><br \/><span style=\"background-color: white;\"><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: inherit;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\"><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: inherit;\">That is why I started with all the Gandalf-like questions. Bottom line&#8230;I&#8217;m weird.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><br \/><span style=\"background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: &quot;arial&quot; , sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So, I found this&#8230; And, it made me think&#8230;Ok.
