I don’t know if other authors do this, but, as I’m writing, I always create a file for my WIP titled “Scraps of Novel.” I started with 3 pages for my second novel, The Book of Hours. As of today, I’m up to 18 pages. This goes to show you I am similar to dogs–we don’t let go of our gnawed bones. 🙂
